About Liberty Advanced Nursing
A Regional Specialty-Care Organization, Not an Ordinary Agency
Liberty Advanced Nursing is a nurse-led home care company for Maryland patients with complex medical, post-hospital, chronic, and extended-care needs. Its job is to make advanced nursing at home coordinated quickly, overseen by registered nurses, and designed so patients remain safely at home.
What Liberty Does
Advanced Nursing, Coordinated Quickly, Overseen by Nurses
Liberty exists for the patient who needs more than ordinary home care: the trach or ventilator patient, the medically fragile child, the older adult leaving the hospital on oxygen and a long medication list, the family that cannot safely manage overnight care. Each referral is reviewed by a registered nurse who evaluates the clinical needs, location, timing, payer, orders, and staffing requirements, then gives the family or the referring professional a clear answer.
Services are provided when authorized, clinically appropriate, within Liberty's licensure and payer approval, and when qualified staffing is available.
Two Doors In
Families begin at Start Care. Professionals begin at For Professionals.
One organization, two distinct pathways, because families and referral sources arrive with different questions.
Director of Nursing
Dr. Keisha Rollins-Munroe
PhD · MSN in Nursing Education · BSN · LPN
Dr. Rollins-Munroe brings more than 21 years of nursing experience spanning intermediate care units, emergency services, population and community health, nursing management, and nursing education. She began her career as an LPN in 2004 and advanced through her BSN, MSN, and PhD.
As Liberty's Director of Nursing, she leads clinical oversight, care planning standards, supervision protocols, and quality assurance across all cases. Families and referral sources can expect one consistent standard of clinical care, no matter the assignment.
- Every referral is reviewed by a registered nurse before an answer is given.
- Care operates under physician-ordered plans of care with RN supervision.
- Escalation protocols define the path when a patient's condition changes.
The Whole-Home Perspective
Care at Home Requires Understanding the Home Itself
Care must succeed in a person's actual home: the layout, the accessibility, the family support, the safety risks, and the long-term living plan. Liberty's work with older adults and families across in-home care, housing accessibility, home safety, and senior relocation gives its clinical team a broader view of that environment, so the plan of care is built around the whole situation, not just the diagnosis.
A Clinically Directed Company
Clinical judgments and day-to-day clinical operations are the work of Liberty's licensed nurses and its Director of Nursing, under Maryland licensure requirements and physician-ordered plans of care. The healthcare mission comes first.
Affiliated Services
When the Home Itself Needs Attention
Some care plans reveal environmental challenges: unsafe bathrooms, difficult entrances, fall hazards, poor accessibility, or spaces that no longer support the patient's needs. When requested, families may be introduced to Senior Home Solutions, an affiliated aging-in-place and home-modification company. Families remain free to use any contractor or service provider they choose.
Families considering whether to remain at home, relocate, explore senior living, or sell may also access independent decision-support resources through Mom Needs to Sell, an affiliated senior-focused real-estate resource. Use of any affiliated service is optional.
